Re: MS-DOS Boot Disk Contents
hi, go to http://www.allbootdisks.com/download/iso.html and download a dos floppy.
Burn it to cd with a cd burning app, then reboot. Enter your computers BIOS, typically by pressing Delete while you see your manufacturer's logo or a loading screen (not your os's loading screen, but what you see when you first turn on your pc). It may also be a press-and-hold escape, then when prompted press f1, or press f1, f2, end, pause/break, etc. see your pc manufacturer website for info.
ok now look around the menus for something about boot sequences. make sure cdrom is first. then look for an indicated key to close & save or use arrow keys to find exit menu. press y or use arrows to choose ok to reboot.
now the cd should work.
if you want to see vista GO, you can do it easily by doing this:
at the prompt type these in sequence, where x:\ is the drive vista's on:
x:\
format c: /s
(now press y then enter to be sure to format the disk. this may take up to 1/2 a hr to one.)
reboot after its done and remove the disk quickly. youre now using dos from your hdd, so now insert the cd you want to install and reboot to install that over the top. I'm good, ay?
