help please? I have the entire 10 disk restore windows xp media

I have the entire 10 disk set, and upon loading the 10th and final, at about 59 percent, the screen starts telling me what it cannot extract and by the time I have clicked through the mess of what cannot be extracted, I am left with a pc which will not load windows xp. Still, I can put a fix it disk in the cdrom and navigate all about the still existing files on the pc, but as for a starting system, I am SOL---what is my next step,,

You see, I thought AVG would protect me, but one day I discovered a trojan which had about 40 friends, so being afraid of not being able to get rid of the viruses, after getting rid of most of them.. but my system had been almost devestated at that point, extremely slow, so I thought I would do an f10 restore--now I can only continue going through the motions, as it asks me for each disk, and I let them run, still at the loading of the 10th one,, {{{please advise}}}}}} thanks.
