i have had the same problem i know what it is make sure you hard drive is selected to boot goto the bios setup screen
the reason why i got it is because i was trying to swap the motherboard into a different box but it didnt fit *SIGH* lol anyway it disconnected the hdd cd floppy (etc) and the screen showed up after i put it all back together at the time i didnt know this but i thought i lost all my files nothing important so i reinstalled windows and i did the same thing again but my xp cd broke a few weeks before so i was looking in my bios changing stuff i didnt care if i broke it completely because i was so pissed off at the time and i looked in the boot section and the hdd wasnt selected and obviously i selected it and it worked try it or if that fails try reseting the defalut settings sometimes the default is not the best you may still need to fiddle about sorry about the story i doubt you really care lol anyway just try it
