You are required to have the CD to install. This is so Microsoft can keep out piracy.
If you have an Upgrade CD, do the following:
Download DOS 6.22 and write to a floppy, restart computer, put in.
Type format c: /s . note this will delete ALL data on your first HDD partition.
Say yes you are sure. type the label for the drive if any. Type DIR c: to see root of drive.
Wait for format then give drive a name. Reboot, remove disk.
Download W95B and write to floppy and reboot and insert again.
Insert CD. Type MSCDEX /D:BANANA /L:Z
When completed, type Z:\setup at prompt.
Install and enjoy.
