More aquratly, I meant: What is the difference of the .ISO which has a RAMDrive, compared to the .iso which hasn't?

I need the help. I tried the laptop to istall to AOL.com. Aol told me I need Windowa 98 disk to use it to istall AOL.com to my laptop. the laptop is DELL LATITUDE XPi M166ST. Please tell me which one of Windows 98/Me/2000 Disk to downloading into my floppy disk as Aol.com directed me to use the floppy disk to istall my laptop to AOL.com Internet. Hurry and tell me. LOL Because I dont have the original Windows 98 disk(CD)

just want to knwo that i have core2duo processsor and 1 gb ram can i install win98se as i dont want to use xp.second as it has only dvd drive so no floopy drive can i get a link so that i can get file like windows 98se boot disk but the contant can be downloaded and burn to a cd because until and unless i boot the system i will not get the 98 instaled please HELP! and if got some link mail me at sanjeev.patwal@gmail.com i will be greatful to the site and the person. thanks

you have SE and regular ones mixed up, check the dates, SE came out afterwards.

I burned my boot disc and when it came out of the disc drive it morphed into a huge lion which began mauling everyone in sight. i survived by challenging it to a tag-wrestling match with one of my friends and we destroyed it with our bare hands. hooah!

wow the same thing happened to me but i called tech support and they told me that to defeat the lion i could go to the command line and type in C:>//\_/Terminate_lion_that_is_rampaging_my_house_and_mauling_its_inhabitants.exe and the lion will transform back into the boot disk.

whoever's doing this please stop we all know that there isn't an impending alien invasion- aaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrgh! aaaaaaaaaaack! ggrrrgh! aaaaack! i am being eaten by a giant invading alien lion with a goat for a face! hellllllp!

anyway, right now i am running win98, and i am installing a dual boot with Ubuntu on my machine, and i'm a little nervous because i don't have my Windows disc, so if something goes wrong, i'm screwed. will this disc work if i accidentally overwrite Windows? i don't have any valuable files on that machine so that is of no concern, but it is the only Windows machine in the house (i'm a Mac guy) and i need to run some windows apps. will this disc work as a backup plan?

hye. i just downloaded those content, and already create the boot disk. but now, how to use it in MS-DOS?

I can not get my lap top to run its cd/dvd unit or it will not recongnize the USB either have no clue how to make it operate. I need to know how can i go into the ms dos and give it commands to like debug it , or make it find the drivers to make the USB function correctly. When i put a thumb drive into the usb port it ask me for the new hard ware found drivers. Well i tell it to search for the driver and its always unable to find the drivers on my hard drive. The cd/dvd will show the light and humm a little then just shut down. When i click on the cd/dvd drive in my computer it tells me its not accesable. How can we get the windows startup to load if drives are already formatted boot disk are on the floppy and the installtion disk is in the drive installation will not start

I downloaded the contents for the Windows 98 ISO bootable CD. I started from scratch, deleted the partitions on the hard drive, created a new primary one, formatted the hard drive and am looking to install Windows 98 onto the hard drive. After I boot the computer with 98 floppy boot disk, and then prompt DOS to run the contents on the CD, an error message arises: "CDR101: Not ready reading drive E". After reading some forums, other computer savvy individuals offered advice such as that the cable might be plugged incorrectly running to the motherboard. Also, I do have two rom drives, one for viewing files on compact discs and a burner. The presence of these two may affect which drive to select, so I've tried selecting both in the prompt and I still get the same error message. Someone also told me to watch the files during the boot to see which drive is the primary drive, yet all I wish to do is run the 'setup' prompt to install the operating system - I'm so close, can anyone please offer their expertise, it's appreciated.
